There is no subject more fascinating or challenging than the human face. I’m not sure if I am trying to say something about the subject's character, our relationship, relationships in general, the human condition, or something I haven’t yet thought of.
Trying to explain a painting is like explaining a joke – pointless and embarrassing to both parties.
